Multi-Sport Coach

We are an After School Activity academy based in Muscat that provides After-school programs for kids aged 3 to 12. We are beginning with a multisport program and are looking for a smart, certified coach, who enjoys being with kids and loves sports. English and Arabic knowledge will be a bonus. The candidate should be able to play and coach multi-sports with knowledge of fundamentals of football, basketball, tennis, badminton and gymnastics. The candidate should be proactive and ready to grow with the company.

Detailed job description of the position is as follows;

Job Description- Multi-Sport coach

1. Plan and deliver high- quality sessions of Multi-Sport program, that combines 10 different sports and activities for kids aged 3 to 12.
2. Coach and look after a group of 20 children (ratios vary depending on child ages), delivering high-energy, fun and inclusive sessions that ensure every child is engaged and makes progress, regardless of their ability.
3. Teach relevant skills, tactics and techniques associated with different sports and engage kids in team-building games.
4. Maintain professional relationships with children, parents and carers, communicating positively and providing feedback on a child’s progress throughout the program.
5. Undertake administrative tasks.
6. Assist with program promotion and development.
7. Plan and organise sports events.

Requirements

• B.P.Ed, M.P.Ed and other similar qualifications.
• Child protection, First aid certificates and similar.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Knowledge of physical fitness, assessment techniques and multiple sports like football, basketball, tennis, badminton, gymnastics, volleyball, cricket, etc.
• Ability to handle small kids.
• Knowledge of child nutrition.
